Online shopping can quickly get overwhelming, and knowing what is and what isn’t worth investing in is not always straightforward. Which is where we come in. Team Vogue has extensive experience when it comes to shopping, be that browsing flea markets for a vintage gem, trawling the online sales, or identifying those chic needles in the high-street haystack.
Now that winter is here, we’re pausing to take stock of our wardrobes and working out where the gaps are. From new-season fashion heroes – think biker boots, cosy cardigans and wool parkas – to the new brands to know, we’ve got all bases covered. Scroll down to see and shop our new-season wish list.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year – by which we mean, cosy season has arrived. The next few weeks are the perfect time to lean into the comfy classics that will transition from sofa to post-dinner walk. First up? Cos’s block-colour cardigan, aka the perfect layering tool. Then there’s Weekday’s feel-good stripe top, which you won’t want to take off through December and into January.
Boho isn’t just for summer: bring it into the winter months with Rixo’s suede midi-skirt and a low-slung studded belt from Belle The Label. Finish the look off with Loewe’s slouchy slogan tee, & Other Stories’s olive-coloured woven bag and a fluffy Penny Lane coat. Proof that trends can have longevity if you know how to tweak them.
Stine Goya’s buckle-detail top is the ultimate “jeans and a nice top” top, except for the fact that it also looks great with Alaïa’s long-line denim shorts, which, if you were wondering, can be adapted for the colder months with a pair of knee-high boots and a slouchy knit. Elsewhere, we’re loving a silver ring from Alighieri’s Offerings Of Love collection, with 10 per cent of all online sales in December going to The British Pregnancy Advisory Service.
If you’ve read our 2025 trouser trends guide, you’ll know that stripped-back utility silhouettes are proliferating next year, and Cos’s barrel-leg style is the perfect example, thanks to its khaki hue and no-frills fit. JW Anderson, meanwhile, has partnered with Luca Guadagnino’s Queer to create a film merch collection that includes a slogan cap that will go with everything in your wardrobe.

This week it’s all about the three Bs: brocade, bombers and bags. Firstly, there’s Marques’Almeida’s brocade top, which was born to be worn with bootcut jeans and heeled boots. Then there’s Acne Studios’s fade-effect cropped bomber, which offers a directional twist on the khaki classic. Meanwhile, on the accessories front, Balenciaga has won us over with its new-in denim duffel bag.
Level up your tailoring game this winter with M&S’s pale-pink shirt – size up for that borrowed-from-the-boys slouch. Elsewhere, the Noughties’ favourite Fendi Spy bag is ripe for a comeback, and we found one on eBay for a reasonable £650 – get one before everyone else does.
While we love a winter staple, sometimes they can be a bit “same-same”. Luckily, Moschino has delivered a very Surrealist multi-collar maxi dress this season, which is sure to turn heads. For more twists on wardrobe classics, look to Montreal-based Dime, a brand led by a collective of skateboarders (yes, really), and whose mix-and-match plaid shirt has shot to the top of our wish-list.
Our obsession with souped-up denim remains as strong as ever – thanks for asking. Haikure should be your first port of call for truly standout styles, including its Winona super-studded pair. Whistles has also just dropped a winning wardrobe staple in the form of its Lori longline black coat, which will look good with everything in your wardrobe and is sure to stand the test of time.
When a fellow fashion editor posted about Ajito Store’s reworked jeans, I could think of nothing else – they also come in white leather FYI. Elsewhere, Filippa K has really delivered on coats this winter, and the navy wool parka has shot to the top of our wish list. It’s a real throw-on-and-go wardrobe hero.
Bode is the gift that keeps on giving in the wardrobe department, and the brand’s feel-good knits are sure to put a smile on your face this December. Then there’s Ferragamo’s Soft Hug bag, a malleable iteration on the brand’s signature Hug tote – ideal for everyday use.
Why wear a party dress when you can wear a party skirt? Luckily, Christopher Kane’s collection with dance-floor fashion specialists, Self-Portrait, offers the perfect iteration with its embellished, lace-trimmed mini (which comes in three colourways). We recommend styling with a chunky grey jumper, statement earrings and pointed kitten heels.
Travelling this festive season? Look to cosy separates and luxe accessories: Uniqlo’s comfy knitted polo will look great with slouchy jeans and sneakers, meanwhile Ancient Greek Sandals’s satin slippers will be a dream to slip on when you arrive at your destination. Bring on the mulled wine.
Conner Ives might be known for his upcycled football tees, but his gowns are just as note-worthy. I love the drop-waist belt on this seafoam-hued style, which is perfect for a winter wedding. JW Anderson, meanwhile, has just dropped a new accessory in the form of its Loafer bag, which features a distinctive cut-out detail you usually see on a classic penny loafer shoe. Oh, and there’s Mango’s fabulous shearling coat, which is so very Kate Hudson in Almost Famous.
Shorts might not seem like the obvious choice when temperatures drop below 10 degrees, but The Row’s tailored pair make for an unexpectedly versatile style that looks great with a knee-high boot and tucked-in knit (we’re quite into a specific shade of faded lime this season). Then there’s Dune’s woven shoulder bag, which is a brilliant high-street alternative to the slouchy leather designer totes we’ve seen proliferate this year.
For winter workwear with a twist, why not experiment with an animal-print flat? Massimo Dutti’s cow-print loafers will look great peeking out of a traditional tailored trouser. & Other Stories’s grey boxy blazer is another – albeit more subdued – staple that can be worn to the office (either with matching or contrasting bottoms), then made weekend-ready with baggy jeans and sneakers.
Chloé’s Kerala bag was first released in 2005 (a year after the Paddington), and this year, alongside many other Noughties icons, it is seeing a serious revival. While we love the new iterations, remember to check out pre-loved iterations on sites such as eBay. Speaking of eBay, I just found the perfect pre-loved Maison Margiela trench in beige and black – run don’t walk, seriously.
Everyone in fashion land is obsessing over JW Anderson’s Guinness collaboration – in fact, a server in the café I’m writing this from literally came over to ask me where the jumper on my screen was from. The hype is real. Elsewhere, Magliano’s Broken ring is soothing our winter blues with its emoji-shaped appeal. Heartbreakingly good.
If the festive styling of a Fair Isle knit is a little too on-the-nose for you at this time of year, why not try Guest In Residence’s (subtly) yuletide-red zip-up knit? An ideal layering device on chilly weekends. MM6 Maison Margiela’s collab with Dr Martens, meanwhile, will provide equal levels of practical appeal, with its subversive take on the classic 1490 lace-up boot.
If you want to bring a little ladylike charm to your winter basics, consider Camilla and Marc’s calf-grazing tartan skirt. You can go full “tea party” with Vagabond’s pointed pumps, or create high-low appeal with a chunky flat boot. In more casual territory, we have Miu Miu’s layered jersey top, which shows that the new-gen grunge trend is here to stay.
If there’s one thing we know, it’s that suede bags and barn jackets are at the top of every fashion lover’s wish-list this season, and YSL’s Le 5 à 7 tote and Mango’s parka prove that it’s worth checking both ends of the brand spectrum to secure that perfect cold-weather capsule. Cosy never looked so cool.
