a. hartrodt (DE) Solutions makes a smooth landing in Raunheim

Own warehouse opened near Frankfurt Airport.

On September 1, 2025, a. hartrodt (DE) Solutions officially opened its own 2,700-square-meter warehouse in Raunheim near Frankfurt/Main. It comprises approximately 1,000 pallet spaces plus small parts storage on three floors. The service focuses on export consolidation of air freight. For this reason, the proximity of only 16 kilometers to the major European air cargo hub was a decisive factor in the choice of location. "The move with our existing customer from the precision engineering and optical industry from a warehouse at a subcontractor was a smooth landing," says Lars Brinkmann, Managing Director of a. hartrodt (DE) Solutions.

Significantly faster as a regulated agent

The customer brings screws, sealing rings and other spare parts from its own production facilities or from suppliers to the small parts warehouse, where they are mainly prepared for air freight shipment. As a regulated agent, a. hartrodt can handle goods much faster as part of the secure supply chain in its own warehouse: "The goods go directly onto the plane without further X-ray inspection," explains Lars Brinkmann.

"Space to breathe" for smaller medium-sized companies

Another third of the hall is reserved as a dispatch warehouse for a manufacturer of technical measuring instruments. "We ship daily for this customer, mainly by air freight, but also as general cargo by truck and via parcel services," reports the warehouse logistics specialist. The remaining space is available to smaller medium-sized companies. Lars Brinkmann also wants to "fully utilize" this "space to breathe" by the end of the year. As a family-owned company with flat hierarchies and a close-knit international network, a. hartrodt can also fulfill special requests or serve niche markets: "We offer our services 24 hours a day."

With its warehouse logistics division, a. hartrodt Germany is embarking on a new growth path. By the end of 2025, Lars Brinkmann aims to increase the number of employees in Raunheim from the current six to between eight and ten and offer a broad portfolio of warehouse services. Further German warehouse locations are planned.
