Spend The Day with Gabbriette in London | The Secret Life of Models
Released on 07/16/2024
Why do I love cooking?
I think it's therapeutic.
Food makes people happy and eating is sexy.
Hi, British Vogue. You made it.
It's my day off.
We're gonna go to the store.
Come along with me. Let's have a little fun.
[upbeat music]
We are in London because yesterday I shot for Vogue
and I'm leaving tonight, I'm getting on a flight.
I'm just staying at my friend's house.
A regular day off for me is sitting at home,
FaceTiming my mom, FaceTiming my friends, eating,
watching a movie.
The opportunities are endless.
[upbeat music]
I just walked past these gorgeous yellow roses
and boy do they smell amazing.
Maybe stop and smell roses. [chuckles]
[upbeat music]
I love this little market.
Can I do the castletrano olives at the bottom?
Small, large, or medium? I'll do small.
Yeah, sure. Thank you.
How are you?
[Staff] Still alive.
Not bad. Yourself?
I'm also so alive, somehow.
[people chattering] [Gabbriette chuckles]
Let me get my bread.
I think I wanna do this middle loaf.
That's beautiful. What do you recommend for a white wine?
Like a little picnicky wine.
[Staff] The Villa Antinori the first one.
This? Yes.
With Italian, it's just all about good produce
and good ingredients.
We have a lot of thing in Italia. [chuckles]
I know I wanna move there. Grazia.
[Staff] Have a lovely day.
Ciao. Bye-bye.
[upbeat music]
I am gonna make scrambled eggs and toast.
It's the best, easiest meal on the planet.
Why do I love cooking?
I think it's therapeutic.
Food makes people happy and eating is sexy.
I am a model and I make food videos on the internet.
I started modeling because I wanted
to be a dancer in music videos.
These are going in the toaster.
I wasn't a very good dancer,
but somebody on one of the music video sets was like,
You should model.
And then I did a photo shoot and I loved it.
[upbeat music] [bowl clinking]
I'm gonna show you how I do my food videos.
It's very professional.
It's all about good lighting, good kitchen,
and a good attitude and good editing.
The stove is on. Butter goes in.
I like cooking for friends, but I don't do it very often.
My current house situation isn't the most ideal
for dinner parties.
Right now, it's just me and my rat. [laughs]
Okay. Eggs go in. [vocalizng]
I kind of wait for the edges to go
and then I just pull everything in.
So, I wanna keep them fluffy.
My mom and my dad cooked basically every single night.
Growing up, we always had family dinner together.
The rule was at least 30 minutes at the table, no phones.
And we had to talk about something
that happened throughout the day.
I turn them off just when they're about to be done
and show my audience what we're working with. [chuckles]
Hey, guys, today we're making scrambled eggs
with Vogue. [chuckles]
[upbeat music]
And that my friends, it's eggs and toast.
[upbeat music]
Ugh, I am in London
because yesterday I shot for British Vogue.
I wore a little Alaia, Balenciaga, some Dior.
I was thinking while we're here is a lovely bath upstairs
that I've yet to use,
and so I kind of wanna go upstairs
with my bottle of wine. Hmm.
I have toast all over my shirt. [chuckles]
[upbeat music]
I am packing my bag.
I'm leaving. Come on in.
A car is here in like 15 minutes.
I know some people like to be comfortable at the airport,
but I like to look good.
You might think I'm crazy for wearing this,
but also like look how good it looks. [chuckles]
I wear my most fab thing
'cause if the plane goes down, I'm wearing my best outfit
for the rest of time.
That's so dark. Okay.
Unfortunately, I have to leave this gorgeous home
and I have to go work in another city.
And that's it for my day off.
This was a really good one.
I'm bringing a pair of sweats in my bag.
A comfortable pair of shoes.
Something that you can like slip on and off,
a jacket 'cause it's always cold,
and then a big bag of skincare for the plane
because it's dry and crusty on those flights.
I've like turned into such a mom bag person
where I have anything for everyone in here.
So, if you see me at the airport
and you need something, I probably have it,
but please don't talk to me.
[gentle music]
I am also a really bad packer 'cause that's two days.
That was for two days. [chuckles]
[upbeat music]
My car is here. [chuckles]
Goodbye. Thank you for joining me on my day off.
I've had a lovely time with you,
but I need to go catch my flight.
Goodbye.
Now it's raining. That's London for you. [chuckles]
Bye. [upbeat music]
