a. hartrodt Romania srl is offering a full time position for an Air/Seafreight Forwarder at our Bucharest branch.

Candidate Profile (Entry-Level)

  • An entry-level candidate with a keen interest in logistics, international transport, and client communication. While prior experience in sales or customer service is a plus, it is not mandatory. The ideal candidate is motivated, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and capable of communicating clearly and professionally with clients and colleagues.

Minimum Requirements:

  • University degree or student in a relevant field (Business, Commerce, Logistics, Foreign Trade, or similar).
  • Good command of English (written and spoken).
  • Competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn transport operations.
  • General knowledge of geography and commerce.
  • Sales/customer service experience is advantageous, but not required.


Primary Objectives of the Position:

  • Support the organization and execution of international transport services (sea, air).
  • Assist clients with their transportation needs and service inquiries.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal departments.
  • Contribute to business development efforts by identifying potential customers and supporting the sales team.


Main Responsibilities:

1. Transport Operations (with Training Provided):

  • Receive and process transport orders under supervision.
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and tracking shipments.
  • Help coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and customs brokers.
  • Prepare and organize shipping and customs documents.
  • Learn and apply procedures related to import/export, air/sea/road transport.
  • Support in optimizing transport routes and costs.

2. Customer Support & Sales Assistance:

  • Provide assistance to existing customers with transport solutions.
  • Learn how to identify customer needs and prepare appropriate service offers.
  • Support sales efforts by researching and identifying potential clients.
  • Help maintain and update the customer database.
  • Participate in follow-ups and client communications to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.

3. Internal Coordination:

  • Collaborate with all internal departments (Sales, Finance, Operations).
  • Maintain clear and professional communication across teams.
  • Ensure all documents and processes follow internal procedures and legal requirements.

4. Reporting & Documentation:

  • Support in compiling reports for weekly activity, shipment status, and customer engagement.
  • Maintain accurate records of communications, orders, and customer feedback

Functional & Representation Relations:

  • Work closely with all departments within A. HARTRODT ROMANIA.
  • Represent the company in communications with current and potential clients.
  • Participate in building and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
  • Help identify new business opportunities and support commercial growth.


Work Conditions:

  • Schedule: 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week, plus 1-hour lunch break (unpaid).
  • Work type: Combination of independent tasks and teamwork.
  • Reporting: as per the internal procedure to the Sea Freight Manager.
