Inside Little Simz’s Prada Buckle Bag

I'm Little Simz, and this is what's in my bag.

Where do we start? Everyone needs that, my iPhone.

The last person I text, shall we have a look?

Tilla, ETA says approximately 10 minutes.

It's talking about my chai latte and my croissant. [laughs]

We have some gloves because it is very cold outside.

Moving on. We also have my wallet.

We're going full leather today.

This was not planned, but it's working.

Oi, oi, oi, oi, oi. Some change in here.

[purse rattling]

I'm paid. [laughs]

What else we got in here? Car keys, yes.

I did drive today.

My car is, yeah, it's almost like a sacred space in a way,

you know, especially when I'm driving, if I'm by myself.

One of my favorite things is when I've gone to the studio,

and let's say I've made a song

and the drive back listening to what I've made in the car

is like, it's honestly the best thing.

Sometimes I even take the long route home.

It's a great place for me to take in other people's music.

So I have my camera,

the photographer's looking, they're gonna butcher me

'cause why do you not have a lens cap?

But I think, you know, it's nothing

to just give it a good little clean.

I've been taking pictures for a while

and I was shooting digital,

but I love that with film cameras

it's like you capture the moment and move on.

I love the small joys of it, whether that's even

[camera clicking]

that sound, you know?

So that sound. [laughs] [camera clicking]

[exhales] Ooh, I've taken a lot of photos

that I'm just like, Damn, I really shot that. [laughs]

But one of my favorites is probably one of my mom.

My mom had really cool bags.

She was a lover of Burberry.

She's always been a very stylish woman

like even when I look back at old photos and that.

Yeah, you actually had it.

Cool minks, the little berets, you know, the heels.

She was a fly babe, I ain't gonna lie.

Still is. Still is.

And then, oh yeah, extra roll of film.

And then I have got some hand sanitizer.

I have some eye drops.

I guess it's just a reminder

I was in my study, I was at home.

Yeah, I'm holding a glass of wine. [laughs]

But it's, I like it, it's a cool little bookmark.

Michelle does my nails, and good one.

Okay, my perfume, this is Jo Malone, fig and lotus flower.

Mm, it's a good one.

Just smells fresh and just like, yeah, I love Jo Malone.

And then I've got some shades with no case.

This is the thing with me and lenses, I just,

I don't know, I don't know, I don't know.

It's, yeah, it's a thing.

Sometimes the cases just take up so much room in the bag

and I'm just like, I just wanna just pick it up

and just bang 'em on and get to it.

The result of that means I end up

going through a lot of glasses.

Yeah, I'm loving these giants at the minute.

Got a thing with Prada. I like Prada.

And then I've got a highlighter and a pen for my book.

Serious reader, you know, serious reader.

And then

[mints rattling]

yeah, Smints obviously just clear it all up, fresh.

I have an adapter. I'm happy to play DJ.

I ain't got a USB, I ain't got no laptops in here,

no Serato, none of that.

But I do have an adapter

and I can get that AUX on and popping.

Lastly in this bag, some lip gloss.

Yeah, nice little Fenty Beauty touch.

And that's me.

And as you can see, I'm a simple babe.

What bag does Shelley have?

Shelley would have a suitcase with portfolios

of what she's doing for nail salons and stuff.

She's proper businesswoman type.

She's probably got some stuff for Tish in there,

some snacks, and some nail polishes.

And yeah, I think she's also a bit of a simple babe.
