Stone wore her new ring while attending a Saturday Night Live party over the weekend. For the occasion, she opted for a tailored navy coat slipped on over a black turtleneck jumper, paired with a white mini skirt with a muted matching bag and knee-high boots. But back to the ring: it appears to have been designed by Japan-based jeweller Kataoka, the “Pearl Snowflake Ring-Supreme”, priced at $4,780 (£4,000), has been set on 18 carat beige gold. “It's wonderful to see Emma and her fiancé choosing an under-the-radar jewellery brand like Kataoka,” says Rachel Garrahan, British Vogue's Jewellery and Watch Director. “Founded by Tokyo-based designer Yoshinobu Kataoka, the brand opened a boutique in Manhattan's Tribeca district last year and this is perhaps where they discovered it. Kataoka is known for its feminine, nature-inspired aesthetic and commitment to craftsmanship and sustainability. With a central Akoya pearl surrounded by diamonds in exquisite hand-formed settings, Emma and Dave's choice demonstrates a sophisticated taste that favours delicate proportions and top-quality handcraft over bling.”

After meeting in December 2016 when Stone hosted Saturday Night Live, the pair have kept a relatively low profile. In January this year, they made their first red-carpet appearance at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. It remains unknown when the wedding ceremony will take place, but in the meantime, let the engagement celebrations continue.
